Chapter 19 Counterfeit Goods
Chapter 19 Counterfeit Goods
As Wei Yinghong spoke, her eyes immediately welled up with tears.
She is a very strong-willed woman. These past two days, Lu Yuan has reopened the restaurant, and she feels both happy and sad.
What made her happy was that her son could finally stand on his own, and did it much better than she and Lu Changming.
But she felt terrible. Every day she watched her son get up so early and work in the kitchen until his clothes were soaked with sweat, but she couldn't help him at all.
She waited until Lu Yuan started making lunch before she realized he had forgotten her birthday.
Because when Lu Yuan's family celebrates a birthday, they always cook at least a bowl of longevity noodles.
So she made a quick decision and dragged Lu Changming to town to buy a cake.
Seeing his mother's guilty expression, Lu Yuan, with the combined emotions of his two lifetimes, finally couldn't hold back anymore, and his eyes began to urinate uncontrollably.
But Lu Yuan's mood was interrupted shortly by Wei Yinghong's birthday wishes:
"Son, you're so handsome, Mom hopes a girl from a wealthy family will fall for you!"
. . .
The next morning, as dawn broke.
A small Jiefang light truck stopped in front of Xiao Lu's farmhouse restaurant, and a young man wearing glasses got out of the truck.
"Lu Yuan, these are the ones your store ordered. I've already left the other brands on the way."
"Thanks, Zhao Tong. I'll treat you to drinks when we get to town!" Lu Yuan said, handing Zhao Tong a wad of cash.
Zhao Tong took half of it from the middle, then gave the rest back to Lu Yuan: "Why give so much? We're brothers, why would I make money off you?"
Even close brothers need to keep clear accounts; how can you expect someone to work for free?
Lu Yuan and Zhao Tong shoved each other for a while, and finally, just as he started his car, Lu Yuan threw the money onto the passenger seat.
Zhao Tong's family runs a GG brand business in town. He and Lu Yuan were classmates in middle school and had a good relationship. They often went to the arcade together.
Unexpectedly, just a few years later, the two of them have started to act like socialites, being very polite to each other.
This morning, the Wang family was very diligent, opening their door an hour earlier than usual.
Wang Facai stood at the door, looking at the earthen stove in each shop, and was overjoyed.
I thought to myself, "You, Lu Yuanyuan, painstakingly came up with this thing, but after only two days, everyone else has it too. What are you going to do now?"
As long as you don't steal customers with this, your business can return to what it was before.
What kind of business did you have before? You had business with everyone except Lu Yuan!
Wang Facai became more and more excited as he thought about it, and headed north along the national highway.
When they reached the northernmost point, Wang Facai saw the earthen stove in front of Lu Tao's house and burst out laughing.
The northernmost restaurant belongs to Lu Tao's family, and the one next to Lu Tao's is Wang Faxi's family's.
Seeing Wang Facai approach, Wang Faxi also eagerly came over, gloating:
"Aren't they supposed to be united? They're quick to steal business from their own family!"
"Hahaha!" Wang Facai laughed so hard he almost fell over. "Lu Yuan is really going to be dead this time!"
As lunchtime approaches, a large oil pot is set up in front of each of the six shops in Luwangtan Village, frying dough sticks.
Passing vehicles, seeing this scene, mistook it for some kind of snack from Luwangtan Village and took a few more glances.
However, what Wang Facai found strange was that Wei Yinghong, that crazy woman, didn't rush over to yell at him.
He was prepared to be verbally abused by the other party, but Wei Yinghong just glared at him and continued frying dough sticks.
This made him feel somewhat uneasy.
At 11 o'clock, both Lu Yuan's and Lu Tao's families brought out several GG brand signs from the store.
The label reads: Lu Family Authentic Fried Dough Sticks, a Century-Old Traditional Method.
The huge red signboard with white lettering stood on either side of the oil pot, immediately distinguishing it from the Wang family's oil pot.
Most importantly, the style of the earthen stoves and the content of the GG cards in Lu Yuan's and Lu Tao's houses are exactly the same.
Even the fryer was wearing the same black T-shirt.
Wang Facai sensed something was wrong, but he couldn't immediately see what impact it would have.
Soon a car turned off the national highway and stopped in front of the Wang family's restaurant in the middle section.
The driver got out, looked around, glanced at the sign, and then got back in the car and continued driving until he reached Lu Yuan's house.
The customer's behavior puzzled the Wang family. They wondered why the customer had left after stopping.
But before they could figure it out, the same thing happened to them again.
Cars kept parking in front of the store, and some even circled around and sniffed the store, but no one went in to eat.
In the end, they either went to Lu Yuan's house or Lu Tao's house.
Finally, Wang Facai couldn't hold back any longer and stopped a driver to ask:
"Brother, if you're going to eat, just come in. What's the meaning of wandering around outside and then leaving?"
The driver glared at him, pointed at Wang Facai's nose, and cursed:
"You dare invite me into a fake restaurant like yours?"
"What fake shop?" Wang Facai was taken aback by the driver's question.
"I'm too lazy to explain to you!" The driver wasn't going to put up with him. Seeing that more and more cars from Lu Yuan's family were parking there, he immediately got in his car to grab a parking spot.
Seeing Wang Facai's embarrassed expression from afar, Wei Yinghong was overjoyed.
But a hint of anxiety crept into her eyes, because Lu Ying had sent out far too many orders.
She kneaded the dough until it left blurry images, but she still had dozens of oil cakes left to fry.
Xiao Lu's Farmhouse Restaurant was full by 11:30 a.m., and the kitchen had 15 tables' worth of orders.
The overwhelming popularity of the event was completely unexpected.
Everyone thought the Wang family would definitely steal all the business today, but to everyone's surprise, everyone ended up at the Lu family restaurant.
Not only Lu Yuan's family, but Lu Tao's family was also packed with people.
He was afraid of taking away all of Lu Yuan's business, so he even made a special trip to Lu Yuan's house.
But to his surprise, Lu Yuan's business was even more booming than his, and he was completely confused.
Mr. Wang was quite busy today; there were no seats available when he arrived at noon.
They simply asked Lu Changming for a few chairs, placed them next to the GG sign, and waited in the shade until the people in front finished eating and a seat became available.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he sat down, passersby became curious about how delicious the food was and followed him to sit down and wait for a table.
Wang Facai was practically going crazy looking at the scene.
He just couldn't understand why people would rather queue up at Lu Yuan's house than eat at their Wang family restaurant.
It wasn't until a younger member of the Wang family returned from outside that he vaguely understood the reason.
It turns out that Lu Yuan placed a "GG" sign every so often along the national highway.
The GG sign didn't use the explicit word "GG," but rather a softer, more suggestive term:
The fried dough sticks taste delicious; they smell wonderful.
Lu's Authentic Fried Dough Sticks, a century-old craft passed down through generations.
Authentic fried dough cakes can be identified by their aroma.
A century-old Lu family craft, a truly authentic and fragrant oily taste.
Lu's craftsmanship produces delicious pastries that are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and incredibly fragrant.
The Lu family's true craftsmanship is unforgettable; their fried dough sticks are remembered by thousands.
The Lu family's traditional recipe has been passed down through generations, resulting in authentic and fragrant fried dough cakes.
. .
These days, male-male relationships aren't as common as they used to be, and people still have a relatively strong sense of trust in them.
Drivers traveling north and south, all they had on their minds were two things: the Lu family and the aroma.
Therefore, any passerby who smells the aroma and wants to try it will be influenced by these two concepts.
Wei Yinghong's fried dough cakes have a truly unique aroma, which is very different from the ordinary fried dough cakes from the Wang family.
This is why Lu Yuan sent fried dough to Lu Tao's family; he wanted to maintain a consistent taste.
He wanted passersby to see that no matter which Lu family restaurant it was, the fried dough sticks smelled the same.
The Lu family does indeed have a lineage; what the GG card says is true.
Then other restaurants that don't showcase their unique features become poor imitators.
Just like Mixue Orange, Mixue Queen, Mixue Iced Tea, etc., located next to Mixue Ice Cream & Tea.
Choosing a path then becomes a matter of course.
