Chapter 1915 - 463: Swearing Not to Be Human, Tenderness Like Water
Chapter 1915 - 463: Swearing Not to Be Human, Tenderness Like Water
"Princess." An irritating voice suddenly came from behind.
Yun Ya’s gaze was deep and cold, with a faint trace of bloodlust. In the instant she turned around, her eyes were covered with gentle ripples, and a warm, captivating smile graced her lips.
Agunara eagerly lunged forward, "Princess, I finally found you..."
Yun Ya subtly stepped back, perfectly avoiding Agunara’s embrace. Agunara pounced at nothing, almost stumbling. After struggling to regain his balance, he immediately looked towards Yun Ya.
"Princess, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, would you do me the honor of becoming my princess?"
Agunara confessed with a face full of sincerity.
Yun Ya smiled, "Prince..."
"As long as you’re willing to be my princess, I will surely treat you well in the future. Really, you don’t know, I liked you from the moment I first saw you..." Agunara spoke with increasing excitement, suddenly gripping Yun Ya’s hand, "Princess... do you know how much I like you?"
Yun Ya tried to pull her hand back, but the other party’s grip was quite strong, and for a moment, Yun Ya couldn’t retract it, her brows furrowed tightly.
"Prince, please mind your manners."
"Princess, you must believe me... no one in this world loves you more than I do..."
Agunara now looked like a lunatic, causing a surge of disgust in Yun Ya’s heart. Yet, on the surface, she maintained an appearance of panic and frailty, which only fueled Agunara’s excitement, as he attempted to embrace Yun Ya once more.
"What are you doing...?"
Yun Ya shouted angrily and frantically.
In the shadows, Yan Song was about to rush out, but he noticed someone else was even faster to act, charging in with clenched fists and gritted teeth.
Agunara was suddenly grabbed by the collar, effortlessly lifted like a chick. He exclaimed dramatically, "Who? Who dares to treat this prince like this?"
The newcomer was tall and upright, standing like a spear. His deep and handsome features showcased a cold masculinity that was hard to ignore.
"Young Master Lorde..."
Yun Ya, in an instant, looked like a child who had found an adult, harboring a bit of grievance. A hint of admiration flashed deep in her eyes, clearly captured by Lorde. For some reason, his heart began to race a little faster. He usually didn’t like to meddle in others’ affairs, but now, he didn’t regret his actions at all...
"Lorde? Let go of me, I’m the prince of Lais Country, who gave you the courage to treat me like this?" Agunara shouted, thrashing like a trapped animal.
Lorde curled his lips coldly, his brows instantly exuding an iron-blooded cold aura, raising his fist and striking down on Agunara’s face.
"I’m hitting you."
In the end, Agunara was beaten to his knees, begging for mercy. Lorde leisurely retracted his fist, looking down with disdain, "Stay away from the princess in the future."
"Did you hear me?"
Lorde intensified his tone, known in the army as a bringer of death, showing how terrifying he could be when he hardened his face. Scared, Agunara quickly nodded.
Only then did Lorde turn to Yun Ya, "Are you alright?" His tone remained as cold as ever.
Yun Ya shook her head with a smile, her face still somewhat pale with fright, making her appear even more delicate and moving.
"Where’s your guard?" Lorde glanced around, his tone cold and heavy.
"He had something to do..."
"From now on, he shouldn’t leave your side. Let’s go, I’ll take you back." With that, he turned to walk ahead, and Yun Ya followed closely behind him.
The two walked one in front of the other like this.
"He is, after all, the prince of Lais Country. I heard the King dotes on him very much. Aren’t you afraid he will seek revenge for what you did?" Yun Ya asked quietly.
Lorde glanced at her, "Let him try."
Yun Ya smiled, truly fearless of heaven and earth, but he had the capacity for it. Lais Country had always been under Sangque’s control. Although Agunara was a prince, his status didn’t hold the weight that Lorde’s did. No wonder Lorde dared to act against him, as he anticipated that neither Agunara nor Lais Country could do anything to him.
Agunara touched his cheek, hissing in pain as he took a sharp inhale.
"Damn you, Lorde, just you wait, I’ll never rest until I avenge this humiliation."
A dark and sinister look flashed in his eyes.
"Damn, it really hurts. You aimed for my face on purpose, didn’t you?"
Agunara had just stood up when his head suddenly spun, the world before him became dizzy and blurry.
He quickly steadied himself by leaning against the wall, a shadow flashed quickly before his eyes, so fast he thought it was just his imagination.
Shaking his head, there was no one in front of him...
It seems he was concussed by Lorde, Lorde, I’ll remember this grudge against you.
Agunara limped away, supporting himself on the wall. As soon as he left, a shadow slowly emerged from the corner.
A pair of deep eyes quietly watched Agunara’s retreating back, eyes that looked as if they were gazing at a dead man.
——
"Thank you, Young Master Lorde, for saving me. I don’t know how to thank you, so how about this? Tomorrow, let me treat you to a meal..."
At the door to the room, Yun Ya spoke.
Lorde intended to say it wasn’t necessary, but the girl insisted on saying, "One, two, three... If you don’t speak, I’ll take it as a yes. Good night."
With a bright smile, she turned and ran into the room, the door closing off her radiant, flower-like smile.
Lorde stood dumbfounded where he was, staring at the closed door, haunted by the image of the girl’s lively and charming smile. His eternally frozen lips, surprisingly, curved into a smile.
"Good night," he said in a voice only he could hear.
As soon as the door closed, the smile on Yun Ya’s face was stripped away, replaced by an abyss-like coldness.
She took off the crown on her head and casually tossed it to the floor. The intricately carved golden crown rolled in a circle on the floor, making a crisp sound.
Yun Ya kicked off her high heels and walked barefoot across the floor, trying to pull the zipper from behind her but realizing she couldn’t reach it.
The dress was so heavy that two people had to help her put it on. It looked beautiful but was quite uncomfortable to wear, the price to pay for beauty.
Yun Ya frowned and called out with more urgency, "Xiao Nan?"
Xiao Nan and Ah Hua immediately burst in, respectfully approaching and, seeing Yun Ya extending her arms, quickly and insightfully helped her out of her gown from either side.
Underneath the gown was a pure white underdress, strapless at the top and reaching the upper thighs below. The tight-fitting design highlighted Yun Ya’s perfect figure, adding a mixture of purity and sensuality compared to the former gown’s solemn elegance.
Even as women, Ah Hua and Xiao Nan almost had a nosebleed at the sight. They quickly lowered their gaze, Ah Hua leaving with the gown while Xiao Nan went into the bedroom to draw a bath.
Yun Ya didn’t like having people around while she bathed, so Xiao Nan prepared everything needed for the bath and then left, closing the door behind her.
As steam filled the bathroom, Yun Ya’s cheeks flushed upon entering. She tested the water temperature, found it just right, and then slipped off her underdress, stepping naked into the bathtub.
Embraced by the warm water, Yun Ya let out a comfortable sigh, burying her face in the water, with only her long hair floating like seaweed on the surface.
When her brain screamed for air, forgotten memories surged up unbidden, giving Yun Ya no time to prepare. She shook her head desperately in the water but found herself sinking deeper, like a drowning person who only sank further the more they struggled.
Just let it be... she thought, exhausted.
The warm water felt like a mother’s womb, so warm, so comfortable... She drifted into this softness, never wanting to wake.
A face seemed to appear before her eyes, a face she longed for day and night, with sword-like brows and star-like eyes, those eyes drawing her in as if by magic.
She stared foolishly; the person reached out to her, and she dazedly leaped towards them.
Brother Yan, is that you?
Rough fingers touched her waist, and in that instant, she felt her heart pounding intensely, a current swiftly running through her entire body.
Until those slightly cold lips pressed against hers, she opened her eyes wide in shock, and that large hand covered her eyes.
He was like fire, almost burning her.
Her tenderness, like water, wrapped around them both tightly like tendrils.
"Brother Yan..." Yun Ya cried out, "cough, cough..." and was immediately choked by the water.
She spluttered as she sat up, dazedly looking around.
The chandelier above emitted a stark, glaring light, making her silhouette appear even more alone.
Was it just a dream she had?
But why did it feel so real?
Pulling her shoulders tighter, she suddenly felt very cold.
Brother Yan, do you know how much I miss you.
