Chapter 11 Li Wei has no air force
Chapter 11 Li Wei has no air force
Under the sparse moonlight, in front of the "factory" in a mess.
A fully armed young man sat on the roof of a matte black Hummer H1, playing a mobile game with loud thumping sounds.
Behind him, nearly twenty corpses lay sprawled in the factory's stark white lights.
This is the scene that Dark Bell, the leader of the "Viper Gang," saw after getting out of the car with fifty gunmen.
"You came very quickly."
Seeing himself surrounded by nearly half a company of men, Li Wei calmly put away his phone, jumped off the roof of the vehicle, and headed straight for Dak.
Surrounded by eight gunmen, Darke instinctively took a half-step back.
Only when his men began to raise their guns and aim did Dak finally seem to muster some courage and take a step forward.
"You greedy hyena! Tell me who ordered you! I might give you a quick death!"
That looked like he was imitating a "tough guy" from a movie, which made Li Wei roll his eyes.
He simply couldn't understand how such a person could become the leader of one of Miami's three major gangs, and even engage in the riskiest and most profitable "business".
Wesker didn't understand this either, as very little information could be found about the past and rise of "Dark the Viper".
This person...it's as if he popped out of a crack in a rock.
Therefore, Wesker speculates that this guy is probably just a "spokesperson".
However, Li Wei doesn't plan to think about these deeper things for the time being; he just wants to have some fun right now.
The game began the moment he jumped off the roof of the car.
Even with dozens of guns aimed at him, Levi did not stop, but continued to approach Dark.
"Stop!"
"I said! Stop!"
"You bastard! You're asking for it!"
As they drew closer, Dark's curses grew increasingly vicious.
Finally, unable to withstand the psychological pressure from the gradually enlarging figure, he shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Kill him!"
"Bang!"
A gunshot rang out.
Li Wei is still getting closer.
The one who fell was one of the gunmen next to Dak.
They were so close that the red and white sprays landed all over Dak's face.
"Protect me!"
Dark shouted and turned to run away.
But just as he took a step, a small patch of soil exploded three centimeters from his toes.
Then, a loud "bang!" rang in my ears.
"Special supersonic sniper round, this shot is a warning."
"Be good, don't run around."
"Also, a word of warning to everyone here: my sniper is aiming right here. Whoever moves first will have their head blown off."
A voice, as if whispering the devil, came from behind him. Dak, his teeth chattering, turned his stiff neck and saw the young man, all smiles, walk up to him, surrounded by gun barrels.
His men... seemed to be standing there like statues, even unconsciously lowering their breathing.
"The real... 'mob'."
Looking at Dark and his men, who were practically terrified, Li Wei made this rather disapproving comment.
The system's "high-risk assessment"...that's it?
Even if he were alone and unarmed, Li Wei was confident that he could take down half of them and escape unscathed.
Levi wasn't very interested in Dark anymore, but the guy behind him... should be quite interesting.
"Tell me, what does the 'person' behind you want you to do?"
"Are you an FBI agent?"
Li Wei was taken aback by Dak's answer.
But in the next instant, three letters simultaneously popped into Li Wei's mind and into his earpiece.
"CIA!"
It is known that the CIA has a history of "powder transactions" for political purposes or to obtain funds, and even facilitated the introduction of certain new products into the United States at the time.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have historically had significant conflicts over the issue of "jurisdiction," often hindering each other and even sabotaging each other's operations.
So the answer I got by using the "pre-set trap question" was unexpected, but it was very likely to be true... or at least the truth that Dark believed it to be.
In a flash, Li Wei completed the deduction in his mind.
Darke was treating him like an FBI agent looking for trouble.
However, it's no wonder that Dark would misunderstand. Although Wesker's performance tonight wasn't very professional, he himself had no problems at all.
"It seems you're not as stupid as I thought. However, sometimes being too smart isn't necessarily a good thing."
As Li Wei spoke, he deliberately pulled the bolt to scare Dak.
Dak knelt down with a "plop," holding the back of his head with both hands—a standard prisoner-of-war posture.
"Don't kill me! I...I'm in the Witness Protection Program! And I can give you money! How about three million! I can give you all my cash flow!"
What the hell!
Holy crap!
The sounds in my mind and in my earpiece were synchronized again.
Good heavens, two major intelligence agencies are "serving" one person, Dark? That's quite a "blessing".
Li Wei found this matter increasingly interesting.
"Well, looks like I've stumbled upon a 'traitor' by accident. Well then, goodbye. Hopefully, your CIA master will give you a couple more bones in hell."
Li Wei was never one to waste words, so he said all this just to provoke Dark.
As soon as he pressed the gun to Dak's forehead, a puddle of water rapidly spread from between Dak's knees as he knelt.
"You can't kill me! That's not fair! Your director promised me! As long as I do his work! Collect evidence of the CIA's illegal activities! He'll let me live and enjoy my wealth! And no matter what I do! You'll grant me 'immunity'!"
Does this include "selling goods" to single-parent families within the community?
Can drugs be used to control underage prostitution?
And then "occasionally" harvest a few human organs to "earn extra money"?
Well, those two companies really do have no bottom line as always.
"Bang! Bang!"
Two shots to the chest, one to the head.
Li Wei kept his promise and sent the "chameleon" drug dealer, Dak, to hell.
"I thought you'd keep him around and ask him some 'interesting' questions."
Wesker's mocking voice came through the headset.
"That's all he knows. Besides, wasn't this all planned long ago—to take out this 'stupid former military policeman'?"
As Li Wei spoke, he glanced at the gunmen around him.
He remained on high alert the entire time, and as a result, these guys didn't even dare to resist, let alone run away.
"It's boring."
Li Wei muttered to himself as he walked toward the scheduled meeting place, pondering the matter.
From beginning to end, why should the system give such a high "risk assessment" for this matter?
But just then, a roar exploded in my ears.
"Fuck him! My three million! I forgot to ask that idiot where the money was!"
"..."
Li Wei remained silent, because he had also forgotten.
However, after thinking about it, he still offered Wesker a word of comfort.
"Forget it, that money doesn't belong to 'Viper Dark'."
"..."
This time, Wesker remained silent for a long time.
"Well, given how those two companies operate, the money will ultimately belong to them. Snatching food from the FBI and CIA's coffers... that's definitely too risky."
Wesker's voice was filled with resentment.
"Let's look on the bright side. At least we achieved our original goal—we got 40, and we also took care of that annoying 'former military policeman'."
"Okay, Li Wei. You're actually pretty good at comforting people. I feel much better now."
Then, the sound of Dark packing up his gear came through the headset.
Ten minutes later, Levi arrived at the designated woods first, but Wesker was late.
Levi immediately hid behind a tree and hugged Wesker's "daughter" tightly.
Wesker is in trouble!
Although he was closer to the rendezvous point, the car was on Wesker's side, and Wesker couldn't possibly be slower than him on foot.
At this moment, the system suddenly popped up and showed its presence.
[Mission: Successful evacuation.]
[Reward: 3 months of life duration.]
Okay, looks like the big one is finally coming.
After waiting for almost a whole night, Li Wei finally saw "Santa Claus".
I wonder what kind of "surprise" this "Santa Claus" will bring him?
