Chapter 444 - 372: The Plot of Necromancer Modi Caesar
Chapter 444 - 372: The Plot of Necromancer Modi Caesar
The entire process lasted for a full five minutes.
For those five minutes, even the bloody battlefield fell into a moment of dead silence. Everyone was stunned by the miraculous sight.
Five minutes later, as the last component fell into place, a behemoth beyond all imagination appeared before them.
It was a White Bone Giant Beast, seven to eight hundred meters long!
Its form resembled a giant tiger or leopard, yet it was a hundred times more ferocious than any such creature.
Its massive body was composed entirely of tens of thousands of bones. Between the stark white skeletons, an ethereal blue glow of Magic Power flowed like blood through the Giant Beast’s veins.
Atop a colossal head formed from countless stacked skulls, two orbs of Soul Fire, each the size of a house, burned within two cavernous eye sockets.
It stood on all fours, a long, bony tail made of countless vertebrae swaying slowly behind it like a giant python.
The moment the White Bone Giant Beast appeared, a terrifying pressure approaching Domain Level Peak erupted outwards, causing even the Witch Demon’s Death Sky Curtain to tremble.
"ROAR!"
A silent roar exploded deep within everyone’s soul.
The White Bone Giant Beast moved.
It casually lifted its long, bony tail and, with a gentle sweep, swung it toward the densest part of the Snake-man Army Array.
WHOOSH!
The tail tore through the air, creating a terrifying sonic boom.
Hundreds of Snake-man Warriors in its path were sent flying without a chance to react.
Before such absolute Power, their tough Scale Armor was as fragile as paper. Countless Snake-men turned into a mist of blood and gore in mid-air.
A single strike cleared out a large section of the battlefield.
High above, Raylo sucked in a sharp breath.
’So this is the Necromancer’s real trump card!’
’This isn’t some Bone Fortress; it’s a War Giant forged from countless skeletons!’
"Stop it!"
The three heads of the Three-headed Snake Monster, Blood Throat, roared in fury simultaneously.
Its three serpentine heads spewed venomous acid, corrosive Shadow Energy, and scorching Dragon Breath, respectively. The three torrents of energy intertwined and blasted toward the White Bone Giant Beast.
However, the attack—powerful enough to melt steel and corrode souls—merely left a scorched black mark on the surface of the White Bone Giant Beast’s skeleton, failing to even create a single crack.
Meanwhile, the Witch Demon Mage had engaged Blood River in battle.
Death rays, Soul Screams, and all sorts of Magic shot out from the Witch Demon’s Magic Staff, while Blood River brandished his Bone Spear, each slash unleashing a monstrous tide of blood that shattered the Witch Demon’s Magic completely.
But the expression on Blood River’s face grew increasingly grim.
He knew that dragging this out was not a solution.
With every attack, that White Bone Giant Beast was taking the lives of hundreds, even thousands, of his kinsmen.
"Blood Throat, hold back the Witch Demon!"
Blood River let out a sudden, explosive shout.
He ignored the Witch Demon’s harassing Magic, allowing a death ray to strike his shoulder and tear away a large chunk of flesh.
He slammed his Bone Spear into the ground, spread his arms wide, and roared at the sky.
"Blood River Incarnation!"
The crimson Magic Patterns on his bare torso instantly lit up, as if coming to life.
An endless torrent of bloody light erupted from his body. His flesh-and-blood form rapidly dissolved in the light, transforming into a viscous, crimson mist.
This mist did not dissipate. Instead, it rapidly converged in the air, writhing and morphing.
Within a few short seconds, a crimson giant serpent over three hundred meters long took shape in mid-air. Its entire body was made of flowing blood, exuding a nauseating stench of gore and a tyrannical aura. Its blood-red eyes locked onto the White Bone Giant Beast.
The crimson giant serpent let out a hiss, its massive body twisting as it lunged fiercely at the White Bone Giant Beast!
It was only then that Raylo understood the Necromancer Modi Caesar’s scheme.
’These so-called "Bone Fortresses" were, from the very beginning, a series of inactivated War Weapons!’
’They were "embryos" that Modi Caesar was preparing for his future Undead Giant Beast Legion!’
He used all the surrounding powers who had conflicts with the Jade Swamp, making them willingly become his "construction workers," gathering materials and building the Fortresses for him.
Once the time was right, he could use Undead Magic to instantly transform these Fortresses, which were built from countless corpses and bones, into terrifying Giant Beasts with Domain Level combat power!
Raylo was certain that Modi Caesar’s "business partners" were not limited to just the Black King and himself.
He suspected that every powerful Lord or mighty being on this vast land who held a grudge against the Jade Swamp had received a "friendly visit" from an envoy sent by the Necromancer.
’If this Necromancer’s plan succeeds, how many more of these Domain Level White Bone Giant Beasts will he have at his command?’
’Three?’
’Five?’
’Or even more?’
’At that point, will he truly possess the Power to challenge the entire Jade Swamp?’
However, judging by the current situation, it was clear that the ancient beings within the Jade Swamp had discovered the Necromancer Modi Caesar’s plot, which was why they had dispatched two warbands to destroy this Bone Fortress standing at the swamp’s edge.
This had forced the Witch Demon guarding the Bone Fortress to activate it ahead of schedule.
Raylo’s thoughts swirled like a fierce gale high in the sky, chaotic and urgent.
Just then, the scales of the battlefield tipped once again.
A clear, piercing cry echoed from deep within the clouds, penetrating the Witch Demon’s Death Sky Curtain and the roars of the White Bone Giant Beast.
Raylo looked up.
A Feathered Snake King with a wingspan of over thirty meters broke through the clouds and dived down.
It was covered in emerald-green feathers, each one shimmering with a Gemstone-like luster.
And seated on the Feathered Snake King’s back was a figure.
It was... a woman?
Her upper body was that of a human female, with an otherworldly and beautiful face. Her dark green hair swayed gently in the wind as if it were alive.
She was completely naked, her skin so fair it was almost translucent, glowing with a faint jade light under the dim sky.
Her lower body, however, was a thick serpent’s tail over ten meters long, covered in fine, dark, jade-green scales.
"Najasha!"
It was her.
The Snake Woman who had once attacked Black Stone Territory, been defeated by the Head of the Demon Serpent, "Ice Wind," and was ultimately chased down by the Sun, forced to abandon her mount and flee.
Apparently, she had found a new mount.
Najasha seemed oblivious to the battle on the ground. Her jade-colored eyes had been locked on the Witch Demon in the sky from the very beginning.
She gently raised her slender, pale arm.
With her movement, the moisture in the air instantly condensed, forming tens of thousands of jade-green ice crystals.
These were no ordinary ice crystals. Each one was imbued with deadly poison and the power of Curses. The moment they appeared, the surrounding light became distorted and strange.
"Go."
Her red lips parted, uttering a single, cold syllable.
The myriad poison crystals surged toward the Witch Demon’s Death Sky Curtain like a river of green stars.
On the other side, the Three-headed Snake Monster, Blood Throat, was reinvigorated by the arrival of reinforcements.
Its three heads roared simultaneously. The middle head spewed corrosive Shadow Energy, while the left and right heads unleashed Magic Attacks, coordinating with Najasha’s assault from two other directions to cut off all of the Witch Demon’s escape routes.
The combined assault of two Domain Level Powerhouses was far more effective than a simple sum of their parts.
The Death Sky Curtain, once as solid as a fortress, began to issue cracking sounds under the barrage of the green, star-like river of poison crystals. Countless fissures spread across the black canopy.
Blood Throat’s attack followed close behind, its Shadow Energy striking the curtain’s weakest point like a heavy sledgehammer.
BOOM!
The Death Sky Curtain, which covered an area several thousand meters wide, shattered like broken glass.
Exposed without the protection of his Domain, the Witch Demon’s magnificent Magic Robe instantly turned to ash in the energy blast, revealing a shriveled, withered corpse beneath, looking as if it had been air-dried for a thousand years.
The Soul Fire in his eye sockets flickered violently; he had clearly suffered a significant blow.
The Witch Demon let out a piercing Soul Scream.
But he did not linger to fight.
Facing two enemies of the same level, any hesitation could mean he would be trapped here forever.
The Witch Demon abruptly raised his Bone Staff. The black Crystal at its tip transformed into a skull, which spewed forth a thick, viscous stream of Death Energy.
This energy was not aimed at any enemy. Instead, it exploded in front of him, erupting into a massive black shockwave composed of countless Wailing souls that spread out in all directions.
The expressions on Najasha’s and Blood Throat’s faces changed slightly. They were forced to halt their assault and raise their Shields to defend against the indiscriminate Soul Shock.
In that instant, the Witch Demon’s figure turned into a plume of black smoke, streaking across the sky at astonishing speed directly toward the White Bone Giant Beast battling the crimson giant serpent below.
