Chapter 1130: Exquisitely Beautiful
Chapter 1130: Exquisitely Beautiful
"Besides, as a girl, stop talking about losing weight all the time. You're 1.7 meters tall and only weigh a little over 100 pounds, what's there to be fat about?"
"Hmph, you don't understand..." Before she could finish speaking, she scooped up a large spoonful of pudding and stuffed it into her mouth, completely forgetting that she had just said she wanted to lose weight.
Huang Xiaochuan found this scene both infuriating and hilarious.
After dinner, the father and daughter took a walk along the beach to digest their food. They were both stuffed tonight, all thanks to the excellent chef and ingredients.
As always, Huang Xiaochuan walked in front, while Huang Ruiying skipped and hopped behind him, occasionally running to chase the receding seawater.
When she got tired of playing, she quickly caught up with her father.
Suddenly she asked, "Dad, I didn't do well on the test this time, are you angry?"
Huang Xiaochuan glanced back at his daughter and knew what she meant. Because of her grades and because she didn't want to leave Shanghai, she applied to Shanghai Normal University to study economics.
If we're talking about majors, the University of Finance and Economics is definitely the best choice, but unfortunately, my score wasn't high enough. Now, the University of Finance and Economics is a 211 university.
Of course there are ways, but Huang Xiaochuan doesn't want to do it. Shanghai Normal University is fine too, and besides, his daughter can go to the University of Finance and Economics for graduate studies in the future.
So he said, "Why would I be angry? You've already toughened me up. Besides, I don't expect everyone in our family to be a top student, but you still can't give up on studying. In the future, you can take the postgraduate entrance exam, just like your Uncle Chen."
At this moment, Huang Ruiying leaned in and said with a cheeky grin, "Hehe, Dad... if you were still at the University of Finance and Economics, I could have taken the entrance exam for your graduate program."
Huang Xiaochuan waved his hand dismissively: "If that's really the case, I definitely won't accept you. It's not enough that you make me angry at home; I want to be angry at school too? Do you think I'm tired of living?"
Huang Ruiying, enraged and embarrassed, cried out: "Dad..."
Huang Xiaochuan ignored her and walked forward on his own. Seeing this, Huang Ruiying quickly followed, shamelessly clinging to her father's arm as they walked together. Her father originally wanted to shake her off, but the girl held onto his arm tightly, so he had no choice but to give up.
At nine o'clock the next morning, a white Sikorsky helicopter was parked on the hotel's helipad. The hotel had purchased the aircraft specifically to provide aerial sightseeing services for its guests. It was less than six months old, with luxurious interior decoration, and could carry eight tourists in addition to the two helicopter pilots.
But today, the helicopter was carrying only half the passengers.
The pilots were a man and a woman, both Australians. After the female captain instructed the passengers to fasten their seatbelts, the helicopter slowly took off and flew deeper into the Great Barrier Reef.
Looking down from the air, you can take in the magnificent view of the Great Barrier Reef. In the azure sea, coral reefs of all sizes and shapes are scattered like stars, making it very beautiful.
As Huang Ruiying watched, she didn't forget to keep snapping photos with the DSLR camera she borrowed from her brother.
About twenty minutes later, the pilot said through the headset, "Sir, Madam, the famous Heart Atoll is to our right below us."
The father and daughter looked in the direction the pilot had indicated, and there they saw a nearly perfect heart-shaped coral reef in a patch of light blue water. The reef was a darker shade of water than the surrounding sea.
"My God, it's so beautiful!" Huang Ruiying had never seen such a view before, and she even forgot to take a picture.
Before coming, she looked up pictures of the Heart Atoll online, but seeing it in person was a completely different experience; no photo could fully capture the beauty of the environment.
The helicopter circled around several times, giving Huang Ruiying ample time to take photos, before flying off to the next attraction.
Over the next hour, they visited Hardy Reef, Baitian Beach, and Hill Bay. Huang Ruiying kept taking photos, and changed two batteries and three 64G memory cards.
It was noon when they returned to the hotel. After lunch, Huang Xiaochuan arranged for someone to take Huang Ruiying out to sea for snorkeling on the luxury yacht that had taken them to the island the day before.
"Dad, why aren't you going?"
Huang Xiaochuan explained to his daughter, "I have several video conferences to attend later. Go by yourself and be careful."
"Alright then!" Huang Ruiying knew that her father had a lot of things to do, so she was already used to it. It was already very kind of him to take the time to spend with her for so long.
Besides the professional captain, sailors, and bodyguards, Huang Ruiying was accompanied by five female diving instructors on the yacht. Two of them were Chinese-American diving instructors who spoke fluent Mandarin, while the other three were responsible for protecting Huang Ruiying's safety underwater.
In addition to amenities such as bedrooms, the yacht also has a liftable platform at the stern, from which we can enter the sea later.
About half an hour after the yacht left Hayman Island, it stopped in a coral-rich area of water.
Before Huang Ruiying went into the water, the diving instructor specifically explained the precautions for diving, such as not touching any marine life or objects, not applying sunscreen before entering the water, and that the water depth here is only three to five meters, which is very suitable for diving.
Upon seeing the crystal-clear seawater, Huang Ruiying could no longer contain herself and was eager to jump into the water.
With the assistance of the diving instructors, Huang Ruiying put on a full set of snorkeling gear and did the necessary physical warm-up before jumping into the sea under the guidance of the instructors.
The water temperature was just right, neither too hot nor too cold. She could clearly see the underwater scenery through her goggles as she submerged her head, with schools of tropical fish swimming towards her and circling around her.
Huang Ruiying was overjoyed, while a diving instructor recorded the entire process with an underwater camera.
She lowered her head again, and this time the view almost made her forget to breathe. It was a world completely different from the land, with corals of various colors and shapes covering the sea like giant flowers.
Huang Ruiying felt as if she were in a giant aquarium, except that this aquarium had no glass, and all the creatures she saw were real and alive.
The black and white clownfish playing among the anemones, the all-blue parrotfish, and the lionfish with their long, bristly tails are especially beautiful.
Just as Huang Ruiying was overwhelmed by the sights, a Chinese-American diving instructor patted her on the shoulder and made a gesture, indicating that Huang Ruiying should continue diving with her.
The diving instructor led her to a coral reef. It was a cluster of purple coral, shaped like a flower. Several small orange fish were playing among the coral, not afraid of people at all. One of them even swam right up to Huang Ruiying.
Huang Ruiying resisted the urge to reach out and touch it, staring at the little fish for a while before it swam away again.
It was winter, so they couldn't stay underwater for too long. After about ten minutes, the diving instructors brought Huang Ruiying back to the boat.
After taking a hot shower, changing her clothes, and wrapping herself in a large bath towel, Huang Ruiying sat on a deck chair on the aft deck with a cup of hot ginger tea, enjoying the scenery.
