Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!

Chapter 339: You want it too, don’t you?

Chapter 339: You want it too, don’t you?

Inside the castle, the instant Vincent brought Rory back within the borders of the inner domains, Nix immediately detected the signal from his communicator.

"I found him."

Nix looked up at everyone gathered in the hall and spoke at once.

"Vincent’s communicator signal just appeared on Planet Z1689, the closest inhabited world near the outer territories."

"I’ve already sent the coordinates to all of you."

The moment Vangar and Xarion saw the coordinates Nix had forwarded, both men rose from the sofa simultaneously.

"We’re leaving now."

Meanwhile, on Planet Z1689, Rory stepped out of the bath just as Vincent finished preparing dinner.

She sat at the dining table, glanced at the dishes in front of her, then lifted her eyes to Vincent.

He had killed countless mutated beasts today and used an enormous amount of power.

Yet the black feather mark between his brows had not changed at all.

So releasing his abilities clearly was not the trigger.

Then what exactly had caused the dark flames inside the mark to weaken yesterday?

"Rory?"

Seeing her stare at him without moving, Vincent picked up a pair of chopsticks and placed them gently beside her hand.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Because you’re handsome," Rory answered effortlessly, the sweet words flowing naturally from her lips.

She accepted the chopsticks from him, picked up a piece of meat, and placed it into his bowl first.

"My Vincent is so handsome that just looking at you makes me want to eat two extra bowls of rice."

A faint flush instantly spread across Vincent’s face.

"Then keep looking at me and eat more."

Did he really look that good now?

Good enough that she could stare at him and suddenly eat two extra bowls of food?

"You should eat too."

Rory lowered her head and continued eating, though her thoughts were spinning nonstop.

Yesterday, she and Vincent had only done one thing together.

Could it be...

Rory glanced at him quietly. Maybe she should test it again later.

After dinner, Rory immediately urged Vincent to go shower.

Vincent checked the time and smiled.

"Why are you in such a hurry? I heard this place gets lively at night. Do you want me to take you out for a walk?"

Rory raised the wrist still bound by the chain.

"You want me walking around outside wearing this?"

Vincent froze.

The smile on his face disappeared instantly.

The chain around Rory’s wrist reflected the cold light overhead like an unbridgeable divide stretched between them.

A constant reminder of the despicable methods he had used just to keep her by his side alone.

Guilt coiled around his heart like a venomous serpent, sinking its fangs deep into his flesh and leaving behind endless pain.

But release her?

The thought barely surfaced before it was devoured completely by his obsessive possessiveness.

No.

Absolutely not.

Vincent lowered his gaze, his long lashes concealing the darkness surging within his eyes.

"I’m sorry, Rory."

His voice dropped low, rough with suppressed emotion.

Rory watched his reaction and immediately knew he would never remove the chains so easily.

But that was fine.

She had spent the entire day studying them already. And she had figured out how to unlock them.

Rory stepped forward suddenly and pushed Vincent firmly back into the chair.

Then she lifted her hand and hooked a finger beneath his chin, forcing him to raise his head and look at her.

"I don’t want your apology."

Her warm fingertips slowly traced upward along the sharp line of his jaw before finally stopping against his lips, lightly outlining their shape.

"An apology is boring."

Rory leaned closer, her voice soft and teasing.

"What I want... is compensation."

Vincent’s breathing hitched instantly.

His dark phoenix eyes locked tightly onto her as his throat bobbed heavily.

"What... kind of compensation do you want?"

His voice had grown even rougher than before, the words sounding as though they had been dragged straight from the depths of his throat.

Rory bent closer still, shrinking the distance between them until her warm lips nearly brushed against the edge of his ear.

"Go take a shower first. Once you come out... you’ll know."

Was Rory actually inviting him?

Slowly, Vincent lifted a hand and clasped the one resting against his lips with almost greedy reverence.

His fingertips were cool, but his palm burned with frightening heat.

Tilting his head back slightly, his gaze drifted from Rory’s eyes down to her soft red lips, his stare so heated it felt capable of melting her whole.

"Rory... do you know what will happen if I go?"

There was danger hidden beneath his low voice, but even more than that, there was trembling anticipation he could no longer suppress.

Truthfully... he had not intended to do anything tonight.

Stealing her away had already crossed far too many lines.

As for yesterday, he truly had lost control of himself.

That was the only reason things had gone that far.

Rory watched the movement of his throat before slowly raising the wrist bound by the golden chain.

The chain rattled softly with a crisp metallic sound that echoed clearly through the quiet room.

Her fingers caressed his face before tracing the dark feather mark between his brows.

"Of course... I know."

Her voice paused deliberately as her fingertips drifted lightly along his tense jawline.

"And I also know... You want it too, don’t you?"

Vincent stared at her in shock. He had never imagined she possessed such a bold side.

His throat contracted violently.

In the next second, he grabbed her waist and yanked her hard into his lap, imprisoning her tightly against his chest.

"Rory... you always know exactly how to make me lose control."

At that moment, he wanted nothing more than to become a savage beast and devour her whole right there in the chair beneath them.

But he did not dare. He could not be that rough with her. Rory would hate it.

"So are you going to shower or not?"

Rory pushed lightly against his chest.

"If you keep talking instead of moving, I might change my mind."

He had spent all this time talking nonsense without taking any actual action.

Was her teasing too weak?

Or was Vincent’s self control simply terrifying?

"I’m going."

Afraid she might truly regret it, Vincent immediately rose to his feet while carrying her in his arms.

He brought her gently into the bedroom before carefully placing her onto the bed.

"Wait for me, Rory. I’ll be quick."

The moment he finished speaking, he turned and headed straight for the bathroom.

Rory watched as the bathroom door closed only halfway before she casually tugged at the chain around her wrist.

The next instant, the chain pulled the bathroom door open.

Vincent’s tall, powerful figure was revealed through the misty steam.

He turned sharply, those dark phoenix eyes clouded with moisture instantly landing on Rory sprawled lazily across the bed.

She was propped on one arm against the soft mattress, her robe hanging slightly open to reveal the elegant line of her collarbone and a glimpse of pale skin beneath.

Her gaze moved openly across him as droplets of water slid down the sharply defined lines of his body. The dark feather mark between his brows appeared even more sinister and beautiful beneath the water.

"Rory..."

Vincent stopped moving entirely.

He pressed his lips together tightly while his throat moved once more.

When had Rory become this daring?

"Keep washing."

Rory looked at him openly without the slightest intention of hiding her stare.

"I’m waiting for you."

Vincent pursed his lips again before forcing himself to look away, pretending to continue bathing calmly.

Warm water cascaded down from above, streaming over his cool skin.

Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced toward the woman lounging on the bed.

Then he reached for the bottle of body wash nearby.

His long fingers slid slowly over the smooth bottle before squeezing foam into his palm.

Carefully, deliberately, he spread the lather across his firm chest and sharply defined abdomen, every movement slow enough to drive a person insane.
