Chapter 611: Arrest Qin Qing and Leng Yue Immediately

Hearing this familiar voice, Ye Xiu’s face immediately darkened. He never expected Wu Qishan’s master to be *her*.

Seeing his backer had arrived, Wu Qishan quickly pointed at Ye Xiu. "Master, you’ve finally come! He’s the one who caused trouble in my house and injured me."

Meng Yinwan looked toward Ye Xiu, but because his back was turned, she couldn’t see his face. She roared angrily, "Such audacity! How dare you injure my disciple? You’re courting death!"

With that, her figure flashed as she lunged toward Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu, however, simply turned around with a cold laugh.

"Oh my..."

Upon seeing Ye Xiu’s face, Meng Yinwan immediately halted her attack and threw herself into his arms. The wrathful, murderous expression she wore just a moment ago suddenly turned sultry and tender. She lightly hammered his chest with her small fists, cooing seductively, "So it was you... you nuisance..."

As heaven was her witness, Meng Yinwan was so frightened her legs went weak. If she weren’t in Ye Xiu’s arms, she would have collapsed to the ground.

How could she possibly have known? The one causing trouble at the Wu Family Fortress and injuring Wu Qishan was actually Ye Xiu!

She was terrified Ye Xiu would blame her for Wu Qishan’s actions. If this caused him to stand against the Restorer Alliance, things would get seriously out of hand.

Wu Qishan had watched as Meng Yinwan charged aggressively toward Ye Xiu, thinking he was about to die. But then she threw herself into Ye Xiu’s arms and turned into a little kitten. What the heck is going on?

"Quite the will to live you’ve got there," Ye Xiu said, pushing her away. "I had thought that your Restorer Alliance represented justice. Now, it seems I need to reconsider whether to cooperate with the Restorer Alliance."

"The Restorer Alliance truly represents justice..." Meng Yinwan began to explain anxiously.

"Take a look at this!" Ye Xiu interrupted, taking out his phone. He opened the file Gong Jin had sent him on the Wu Family and handed the phone to Meng Yinwan.

Meng Yinwan took it and read through the information. She looked up, confused. "What do you mean by showing me this?"

Ye Xiu furrowed his brows. After reading about the Wu Family’s crimes, Meng Yinwan actually didn’t seem to think anything was amiss. The Restorer Alliance really isn’t a righteous organization.

Ye Xiu took a deep breath. "Wu Qishan used violence to coerce all the martial artists in Nanjing to move to the Wu Family Fortress, just to exploit them.

"Wu Qishan and his family have tormented Nanjing, oppressing the good and treating human lives as if they were disposable.

"He unified Nanjing’s underworld, committing arson, assault, and looting to enrich himself.

"And you take a man like this as your disciple. Doesn’t that prove you’re both cut from the same cloth?"

Meng Yinwan finally understood. She tried to explain, "I had no idea the Wu Family was so evil. I only took Wu Qishan as my disciple to use his influence in Nanjing. It made it easier for me and the Restorer Alliance to stay hidden."

"You still dare to justify yourself!" Ye Xiu roared. "The farmhouse where you’re living now—its original owners were an elderly couple. Wu Qishan had them killed so you could have a place to stay. Are you going to claim you didn’t know about that?"

"You..." Meng Yinwan was aghast. She had always thought her hideout in Nanjing was a perfect secret. She never expected Ye Xiu to not only know its location but also who the farmhouse’s previous owners were and how they died. She didn’t dare argue anymore. She had no idea what else Ye Xiu knew, and continuing to make excuses would only make him despise her and the Restorer Alliance even more.

She said meekly, "Um... I’ll notify all members of the Restorer Alliance in Nanjing to regulate their conduct."

"You’d better," Ye Xiu snorted. "Go. After you execute the Wu Family in front of everyone in the Wu Family Fortress, you can leave."

Meng Yinwan breathed a sigh of relief, truly worried that Ye Xiu would keep pressing the issue of the Restorer Alliance’s morality.

Ye Xiu had ignored all of them, intending to sever Kristina’s connection with the Eternal Kingdom’s field agents.

Only now did Ye Xiu realize he had put Qin Qing and Leng Yue in terrible danger.

"This is bad!" he muttered.

The agents, unable to reach Kristina, would definitely suspect something had happened to her and report back to the Eternal Kingdom. Now, her father was calling. If he didn’t answer, her father might assume Kristina was dead. That would put Qin Qing and Leng Yue in immediate danger!

Inside the Island Master’s office, a burly middle-aged man was on the phone while Xue Man and An Bai stood by nervously.

"No one’s picking up!" The burly man hung up, his face frighteningly grim.

"Strange," Xue Man said, puzzled. "It’s not just the Little Princess who’s out of contact. Yue Longxuan and dozens of our other agents in Nanjing have also gone silent. Could something have happened to all of them?"

"This is the stage where the Eternal Kingdom and the Restorer Alliance are laying their plans and probing each other, so both sides have sent very few experts," An Bai analyzed. "Our strongest operative is Yue Longxuan, while the Restorer Alliance’s is Meng Yinwan. Meng Yinwan was already killed by Ye Xiu. Could the Restorer Alliance have sent other Sixth- or even Seventh-Realm experts?"

A cold glint flashed in the burly man’s eyes. "Immediately arrest Qin Qing and Leng Yue. If they resist, kill them on sight."
