Chapter 1079: Louis Lawrence Knew from the Start
Mason Bennett smiled without saying a word.Bella Green pursed her lips and didn’t continue the topic.
Mason was right, no matter what, Matthew Lawrence shouldn’t be harming her.
As for his true intentions, they would be revealed sooner or later.
This thought made Bella feel somewhat uneasy.
After all, Matthew was confirmed to be her biological father.
But the ridiculous thing was, her biological father’s feelings towards her weren’t purely paternal.
There were too many things mixed in that she didn’t understand, making her feel cold inside.
Bella looked at the scenery outside the car window, a mocking smile appearing on her lips.
...
The moment they returned, the car had just come to a stop.
Bella’s gaze suddenly fell on a familiar car at the doorstep.
A black Hummer, the car Louis Lawrence often drove recently...
She paused in her step, her brow furrowed slightly.
Louis is here too?
"What’s wrong?" Mason asked.
Bella withdrew her gaze, shook her head.
Sure enough, just as they entered the house, they saw Louis sitting on the sofa, talking to Mr. Lawrence.
Perhaps making the old man laugh heartily.
Seeing Bella and Mason come in, the old man hurriedly waved.
"Bella, Mason, come over." Saying this, he pointed to Louis and introduced him to Bella: "Bella, this is your brother, Louis."
Bella looked at Louis, feeling inexplicably complicated.
For quite a while, she didn’t call out.
Louis looked at Bella with amusement, remaining silent, just waiting for her to speak.
The old man’s gaze shifted back and forth between them, sensing the subtle tension.
As a hint of doubt arose, he suddenly remembered something.
"Speaking of which, your brother is in the entertainment industry now, you should know each other."
Bella smiled wryly, more than just knowing each other.
"What, didn’t recognize me after just one day?"
Louis leaned back, legs crossed, his head tilted in a defiant manner.
"Oh? You already knew each other?" the old man said surprised.
"Yes, but I didn’t expect Little Bella would actually be my sister."
Upon hearing Louis’s words, Bella felt a blockage in her chest, glaring at him fiercely.
She hadn’t thought much of it before, now suddenly feeling, did Louis know her identity all along?
Did he already know their relationship?
The more she thought, the more Bella felt it was the case.
Recalling everything that had happened since they met, Bella felt increasingly that Louis must have known it all.
But if he knew all along, then what about Matthew?
Bella felt her thoughts seemed to be led into a dead end, suddenly unable to make sense of things.
"Haha, this is fate," the old man seemed quite delighted, laughed heartily a few times.
"Grandpa, this is Little Bella’s first time home, she must not be used to it. I’ll take her around the estate, to familiarize herself."
Louis said, slowly getting up.
The old man nodded: "Good, good, take Bella for a walk."
The old man was quite pleased; Bella’s attitude towards them wasn’t very close.
Since Louis knew her well, it wouldn’t hurt to let them chat first.
This morning, Matthew had explained the past events.
He naturally spoke of Bella’s childhood disappearance.
This made the old man feel more compassionate towards his granddaughter.
He knew she was sensitive, so he shouldn’t overdo being friendly to make her uncomfortable.
Louis got the signal, then looked with a smile at Mason behind Bella.
"Mr. Jameson, you’ll be at ease with Little Bella being with me, won’t you?"
