Chapter 1231 - 1246: It’s Actually Her
After leaving the Foot Bath Pavilion, Gray Wolf and Golden Wolf, Earth Wolf as well as the Zhuang Brothers; Lin Mu's Bugatti was finally brought back. Gray Wolf and Golden Wolf sat in the Bugatti, while Earth Wolf and the Zhuang Brothers shared a Range Rover. With this group of elites, Lin Mu had no problem dealing with any force. Unfortunately, his intentions were different. However, Gray Wolf understood Lin Mu's motives, so he asked, "Boss, will this be enough to flush out the mole in the Foot Bath Pavilion?"
"Hehe, do you know the fable 'The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind it'?" Lin Mu chuckled as he lit a cigarette.
Gray Wolf pondered for a moment, his eyes suddenly brightening, "Boss, are we using the cicada to lure out the mole?"
"That's right, I believe that person will soon reveal himself, hehe." Lin Mu chuckled, blowing out a puff of smoke.
Then, under Lin Mu's leadership, the group headed to the place where the Easterners were said to be staying. According to reports, they resided in a new rural area not far from the city center. This area was large, urbanized, and typically rented out to migrant workers, making it a melting pot of people from all over Wancheng.
Arriving at the new rural area, Gray Wolf made a call to the people there, and they quickly met up.
To avoid alerting the enemy, Lin Mu and his crew stopped their vehicles outside the village and proceeded on foot. Lin Mu hadn't brought many people this time, just a few of the core members from the Foot Bath Pavilion. Still, with this group, he was confident he could conquer the entire underworld.
"Boss, Brother Gray Wolf." A shadow suddenly appeared; it was a lookout arranged by Gray Wolf.
"How's it looking?" Lin Mu asked.
"Everything's quiet inside. Some of our brothers are watching them." the scout reported.
"Lead the way."
"Yes, boss." The subordinate responded, leading Lin Mu and the others towards the residence of the Eastern devils.
Reaching the entrance of a three-story small building, the scout stopped and pointed inside, "They live here."
"Roughly how many people?" Lin Mu asked again.
"Not many, only about five." The subordinate reported.
Hearing this, Lin Mu nodded, gesturing to Gray Wolf and the others. Understanding his signal, Gray Wolf leaped over the low perimeter wall into the courtyard. Soon, the door of the three-story courtyard was opened. Lin Mu positioned Earth Wolf and the Zhuang Brothers outside, then went inside with Gray Wolf and Golden Wolf.
As soon as they entered the small building, several cold gleams slashed towards them. Several shadows swiftly attacked. Lin Mu dodged quickly, flipping backward to land steadily on the ground. Before them stood five figures, dressed all in black with only their eyes, mouths, and noses exposed—typical ninja garb.
"Hehe, you've finally shown yourselves." Lin Mu sneered at the five ninjas.
"Die!" The five ninjas shouted in unison, rushing towards Lin Mu. While they weren't top-notch experts, probably at the level of Middle Ninjas, Gray Wolf and Golden Wolf could easily handle them without Lin Mu needing to step in.
The battle was quickly decided; the five ninjas were no match for Gray Wolf and Golden Wolf, whose teamwork was seamless.
The five ninjas didn't hold out for long before being subdued by Gray Wolf and Golden Wolf. Just as they were captured, screams suddenly came from outside the door.
"Hehe!" Lin Mu's face showed an evil grin; just as he had anticipated, the mole within the Foot Bath Pavilion was among those hiding outside.
More screams echoed from the entrance. Several disguised Flying Dragon Gang scouts were slashed down by black-clad figures emerging suddenly. Even the Zhuang Brothers and Earth Wolf were overwhelmed, forced to retreat to Lin Mu's side under the barrage.
At that moment, a dozen more ninjas appeared before Lin Mu. It was evident these individuals were far superior to the preceding five. At this point, there were six people on the Flying Dragon Gang's side: Lin Mu, Gray Wolf, Golden Wolf, Earth Wolf, and the Zhuang Brothers.
Swish! In the darkness, more shadows emerged, totaling over twenty more people. Combined with those already before Lin Mu, there were now over thirty elite fighters.
Lin Mu glared at the surrounding ninjas, smirking coldly, "You've hidden for so long. Isn't it time to show your face?"
Swish! Another shadow appeared, yet unlike the others, she hadn't completely covered up, leaving her head exposed. Seeing the figure, Gray Wolf's brows furrowed, and his eyes narrowed in disbelief.
Lin Mu remained composed, as if this development was within his expectations all along.
"Fangzi?" Gray Wolf blurted out in shock, "Is it really you?"
"Hehe, that's right, Brother Gray Wolf! It's me, Yoshiko Iji, the chief female assassin of the Jushi Association!" Yoshiko Iji laughed, starkly contrasting her usual self.
"What's going on exactly?" Gray Wolf still couldn't believe it; how could the innocent and kind-hearted Fangzi turn out to be this?
"Gray Wolf, it wasn't just you who was deceived; even I was fooled," Lin Mu chuckled softly. "The mole we've been searching for is none other than Yoshiko Iji, who skillfully concealed her abilities. It was no easy feat; she hid so well, even I was taken by her seemingly kind demeanor multiple times!"
Yoshiko Iji laughed, "Boss Lin, you finally figured it out? Isn't it too late now?"
"Not too late!" Lin Mu shrugged with a smile.
"Hehe, I know you're quite skilled, Boss Lin, so I made thorough preparations. Do you think you have a chance to escape with so many of us attacking?" Yoshiko Iji laughed softly.
"Indeed, I must admit your plan is quite remarkable! It's a pity you didn't go into acting! The Oscars are missing a winner for the golden statue!" Lin Mu gave a thumbs-up to Yoshiko Iji.
But the person most affected was Gray Wolf. Since Fangzi emerged, his expression hadn't looked good, and understandably so. In Gray Wolf's memory, Fangzi was always pure and lovable, but the reality was he'd been used by her all along. How could he feel okay about that?
"Did you approach me on purpose from the airport?" Gray Wolf asked Yoshiko Iji coldly, his eyes filled with sadness and anger. For someone like Gray Wolf, who was usually carefree, this expression was rarely seen.
Being betrayed by a woman, especially one you cared for, is a form of treachery—something intolerable for any man.
