Chapter 14 The Secret of the Abandoned Factory
Chapter 14 The Secret of the Abandoned Factory
The meeting has ended.
Mr. Zhang asked all shareholders and management to stay and continue the meeting, while everyone else was dismissed.
Back in the office, Su Ming suddenly became the center of attention, with several people from the next group surrounding him and asking if he had really partnered with Chen Lu.
"Hey bro, can you send me Chen Lu's WeChat?"
"I'm her fan, and I'll be your fan too."
Looking at the greasy, burly man in front of him, whose nose hairs were sticking out of his nostrils, Su Ming sighed that it was actually quite nice not to have fans.
It seems my dream of becoming a celebrity or internet influencer has already been shattered before I even made my debut.
Let's just stick to collecting rent honestly.
More and more colleagues rushed over, so he had to quickly slip away.
The others then turned their attention to Chen Hao and Lin Yiyi. Chen Hao exclaimed, "Who am I? Where am I? I don't know!"
Finally, under the praise and bribes of many gossipy colleagues, Chen Hao revealed a shocking secret.
"Do you know why the signing went so smoothly?"
Chen Hao sat on the table, looking at the crowd in front of him like a storyteller.
"Why?" someone asked.
"Because Chen Lu's mother is my sister-in-law, you wouldn't believe it, would you?"
"Huh? Chen Lu is already married? I haven't heard that."
Chen Hao glared at her. "What nonsense are you talking about? Chen Lu and my brother are still dating."
As he spoke, Chen Hao pretended to be deep in thought, "But I reckon the wedding shouldn't be too far off. I saw my sister-in-law was already pregnant last time."
"Holy crap! This is an earth-shattering piece of gossip!" someone exclaimed.
"Chen Lu is pregnant???"
"Then who is your brother?" someone asked.
Chen Hao rolled his eyes at the man: "You don't even know my brother? He's Su Ming."
"grass!"
"grass!"
Suddenly, the office was covered with lawn.
Su Ming could no longer hear the discussions in the office; he had already gone downstairs.
He applied for permission to go out on his mobile phone, with the reason being to meet with Chen Lu.
He planned to visit his new business, the abandoned factory.
He felt that getting the factory officially launched would be faster than renting out the building.
Why not just put a few machines there and start production?
I refuse to believe that if I accept orders at low prices, or even for free, no one will place an order.
Su Ming felt he had found the key point.
The system restricts the building's rental by preventing it from being rented out at low prices, so the threshold for completing the task is quite high.
But this abandoned factory itself can be sold at a low price.
After all, the system didn't impose any restrictions on this mission.
Su Ming followed the navigation to the vicinity of the factory, which was in a particularly remote location.
There are only a few small houses scattered around, and the rest is just a separate factory area.
The park is surrounded by a forest and even has a lake.
He took a bus for over an hour to get here, and he felt like his hemorrhoids were going to come out if he sat any longer.
"It's time to buy a car."
Su Ming pondered, after all, he was a wealthy man now, wasn't he?
Walking along a main road, Su Mingcai finally saw the factory gate.
The sign at the entrance reads "Tianmi Garment Factory," but it's already quite dilapidated.
At first glance, two middle-aged men were sitting on the stone stools by the entrance.
They were wearing gray work clothes, had dark skin, and were chatting while smoking.
"That's weird, why are there people at the factory gate?"
Su Ming stroked his chin, somewhat puzzled.
However, he didn't think too much about it and walked straight towards the factory gate.
As soon as they reached the door, one of the middle-aged men stood up, and the other one followed suit.
What are you doing?
The middle-aged man on the right blocked Su Ming's way, his eyes filled with hostility, preventing him from going in.
Holy crap! This is my factory, you know!
"And what the hell are you guys doing?" Su Ming retorted.
"Are you asking me or him?" It was the middle-aged man on the right who spoke.
"Of course I'm asking you."
"Oh! I'm a worker at this factory."
"And what about him?"
"Him? He's also a worker at this factory."
Su Ming: "..."
You fucking kidded me!
Su Ming: "Didn't this factory go bankrupt?"
Middle-aged man: "Yes, isn't it obvious? The signboard is all rotten."
"So you two are still working here?"
"This factory owes us money, and we won't leave until they pay it back."
The middle-aged man looked indignant.
"So what are you doing here?"
The middle-aged man glared at Su Ming with a wary expression.
"Oh! I'm here to collect rent," Su Ming said seriously.
"Collecting rent?"
"That's right, this factory is mine, and the owner here has been in arrears with my rent for five years."
After Su Ming finished speaking, the two men in front of him exchanged a suspicious glance.
A moment later, the middle-aged man on the right said, "Wait here, I'll go call Li Tou."
After saying that, he walked quickly into the factory.
The other man stayed behind, continuing to watch Su Ming with a wary look in his eyes.
Su Ming wasn't in a hurry. He sat down on a stone stool next to him and took out his phone to read a novel.
About five minutes later, footsteps were heard from inside.
A man in a shirt, who looked to be in his fifties, came out.
Behind the man were two middle-aged men, one of whom was the same middle-aged man who had just entered from the right.
The man in his fifties walked up to Su Ming, looked him up and down, and slowly spoke:
"You say this factory is yours? Do you have any proof?"
Su Ming immediately took out his phone, opened a picture, and zoomed in.
Then hold it up for the other person to see.
"See that? The property owner is Su Ming, that's me."
The other person looked at it for two seconds but couldn't see it clearly. Just as they were about to take out their reading glasses, Su Ming quickly took the phone back.
"Do you believe me now?" Su Ming asked.
The other person's hand holding the reading glasses froze slightly, as if to indicate that they couldn't see clearly, but after a brief moment of thought, they gave up.
Finally, he nodded: "Let's go inside. It's not convenient to talk outside."
Su Ming followed him into the factory area.
Go inside, walk through the courtyard, and then there are two buildings of about six stories in the middle, surrounded by some low houses below.
These factory buildings and houses are already very old.
But Su Ming discovered signs of human habitation here. Some clothes were still drying in the factory's dormitory area, and he could even see many people washing vegetables and cooking.
Do these people consider this place their home?
The man led Su Ming to one of the buildings and into an office inside.
The office was quite clean, containing only an old bookcase, a desk, and two chairs.
After the two entered the office, the others remained outside.
The man closed the door and gestured for Su Ming to sit down and talk.
After Su Ming sat down, the man sat opposite him.
"Mr. Su, I'll be frank with you!"
"We're not leaving!"
Huh? Su Ming was taken aback by what he heard.
"If you can't walk, can't you run? At the very least, you can hop."
As he spoke, Su Ming even stood up and jumped a couple of times, saying, "See! Jumping makes you healthier."
The man opposite him was momentarily at a loss, feeling that his CPU was overheating.
